Why and How to Use Facebook Business Page.

I want to talk to you about why and how you should be using your Facebook business page. I am going to talk about the features and some benefits to a Facebook business page. I am excited to share a little bit with you!

I have been using my business page consistently now for about 6 months. I’ve actively had this business page since about 2007 when I owned my brick and mortar business. I wasn’t consistent with it. I didn’t build an audience and I wasn’t providing value. So I didn’t get a lot of benefit from it until this past August 2016!

I started being consistent and utilizing it a little bit more.

I’ve had a lot of you ask this week about your business page. Many of you said you mainly build your business on your personal page. That was me! I always used it! Β That’s where my friends and family were. That’s where I was connected. That’s where my customers were.

Every year Facebook puts out a poll and they ask what users want. They want less business and less people selling stuff on their personal page. I can see that and I know you guys can relate to that. Sometimes it’s like commercial after commercial; especially when people are posting just graphics and pictures they didn’t take themselves.

So, here’s the deal. Facebook knows if we are doing business on our personal page. But that’s where you get the interaction. You go live on your business page and you get nothing. You go live on your personal page and you get a ton of interaction.

So what can you do to build your business on your business page?

Here are some tips and tricks that you can do to build your business page and get the people on your personal profile to your business page. If you’re going to plan out your lives and plan out the content you can make an announcement on your personal page; β€œHey everyone I’m going live tomorrow at 9 am EST time to tell you XYZ”. Business pages are made for business. Personal profiles are made for personal things.

So make the announcement on your business page. Have a cute little picture of you with some word swag and share that to your personal page.

Another idea is go ahead and go live. If you have 2 devices (your phone or laptop) you can just share to your personal page instantly! So your personal followers and audience will see this content and they will gradually gravitate to your business page.

I went over the nine steps to going live last week. So if you haven’t seen that yet, you can pick it up on my YouTube channel. I also talked about sharing your lives on your personal page. And sharing them to groups you’re involved in. If you’re adding value and involved in a Facebook community/group share it into that; if you have a team group share it into that group!

So you can definitely grow a following if you are putting out good content and sharing it in the appropriate places.

Don’t re-postΒ it! Share it! Β

Share it directly from your business page to your personal page or business page to facebook groups.

Here’s another way to grow your business.

Sharing the content Β to the appropriate places where people are going to like or post. Those who do like a post or live video invite them to like your business page. That’s an easy way to increase the likes and they will get notified when you put out content.

One of my favorite features about a business page is the inbox. So you guys if you aren’t using Facebook business page to do business..you should be for this reason alone.

Facebook business inbox is insane amazing! It’s absolutely incredible. If you’re chatting with someone it’s going to tell you their time zone, little info about them, and you can take notes flag/tag them.

You can also create custom flags & tags to fit your business needs.Β For example: I was trying to build business in Hong Kong. Everyone I interacted with lives in Hong Kong. I would tag them Hong Kong. I would flag them if I need to follow up. I would also take notes about past conversations.

Another feature it has is auto responder. If I’m always sending out certain emails, certain messages, or certain reply’s to my customers; then I can have it set up like as an auto responder. It can insert their name(s) so it feels more custom and personal. If your a Network Marketer or Entrepreneur; were often getting asked the same questions over and over and over again. The auto responder is absolutely the best here is!

I’ve done this with several of my teammates while teaching them prospecting skills/prospecting systems. I will have them bring their computer over or their laptop and we will plug the system right in. And they they are able to say, β€œOk, Liz this is the 1st, this is the 2nd, and this is the 3rd”. They can go in and customize it and make it more like a conversation so it’s not scripted. They can see the system and make it their own. Then when they use it a few times they’re like, β€œOk. I got this. I got this”.

The Facebook business page inbox rocks, rocks, rocks!

Let’s do a really quick recap.

  1. If you’re mainly using your personal profile for business; Facebook knows it and they are limiting your reach. Hop on over to your business page and share what you post on your business page to your personal page. It also doesn’t annoy friends! It makes it acceptable because you shared it.
  2. If you’re planning out your lives you can say, β€œHey everyone! Hey everybody! We’re live!” Β You’re making the announcement so then they know to go over to your live post.
  3. Share your posts to other groups. Invite those people who liked your post to hop on over to your business page and like that too.
  4. The Facebook business inbox is insane amazing. Insane amazing.

Comment below and let me know what your biggest takeaway was from this live. What did you get the most value in. what make you go oooo… but not only do ooo but what made you go, β€œOk, I can start that now. Ok! That’s easy enough and I can do that now.”

  2. In my city, they have a community group that offers classes. One of them is Social Media marketing. It is going to offer tips on FB, twitter, LinkedIn. Maybe there are offerings in other cities as well. It’s a one night event and the cost is only $45
