How to get shizz done without feeling frantic and overwhelmed.

I asked a question in this  awesome facebook group called Messy Buns and Business.  It is a great online community for business owners and brands. It’s a place where entrepreneurs can toss their hair up, share ideas, cuss and have fun.

The question was what are your best tips for productivity. The answers poured in and were so awesome!!

So I have compiled a list of 11 top productivity tips that you can use in life and business!

Being Busy is working harder, being productive is working smarter.

There is a big difference between being productive and busy is a big difference. When you are busy you may feel frantic or overwhelmed. Being productive is laser focused and getting stuff done with a sense of peace.

Often times we find ourselves “busy” because we have over committed to things that don’t serve us or our priorities.

My friend Lance Courtney taught me years ago about a method that he called the Diplomatic Decline. It is a system that makes saying “NO” soooo simple and doesn’t make me feel guilty for bowing out of helping someone or doing something I don’t have time for or want to do.

It goes something like this….:”Under Normal Circumstances I would love to. However I am unable to at this time. Keep me in mind for next time.”
DUDE!!!! Sooo easy!!

Learning to say "NO" can change everything.

So here is the list I gathered of TOP TIPS for being productive.

1. Make a list and prioritize it. Even color coding will help accomplish the tasks at hand!

2. Time Block!!! Set aside dedicated time to work on specific tasks.

3. Love the planner you have and USE it! My fav….Passion Planner!

4. Setting a timer and working in small increments.

5. Daily Lists that have the same tasks to do over and over every day.

6. A system that is rinse and repeat. That way you don’t have to think, just execute.

7. Brain Dump @ night for the next day. Make a list, prioritize, set a timer and get to work!
