4 steps to telling your story.

The one who tells their story the most wins!

A mentor of mine once said, “the person who shares their story the most wins.” The reason for that is because people can relate to stories and there’s the saying, facts tell stories sell. People can emotionally connect with you on stories.

In this episode, I’m going to give you the four steps to sharing your story so you can practice presenting your own story.

  1. Your Background – Share something about you. An example is, I was a salon owner. I opened it at the age of 19 and I owned it for 11 and a half years. I’m the middle child that’s why I’m so tough because I have an older brother and a younger brother. I am raised in small-town Indiana population 300. That’s a background about me.  Maybe you’re a nurse. Maybe you’re a stay-at-home mom, maybe you’re a widow or maybe your a student. Just say a few facts about you.
  2. Challenges – What challenges are you facing or were you facing?
Example: I love the beauty industry. However, I was missing out on the people and things that mean the most to me. I had a child who I only saw for short amount of time. I’d see her in the morning and see her in the evening. Missing my childhood best friend’s father’s funeral because I had to work, missing weddings, missing birthday parties. I was missing wrestling tournaments, baseball games and I was missing out on the people and things that meant the most me.

“I don’t have rags to riches story. People can relate to that. I was tired of missing out on the people and the thingst that mean the most to me in life.”

  3. What happened? – What happened that cause you to make a change or what happened that cause you to start a side hustle or what happened next? Someone brought me a product that I’ve already said “no” to. I instantly fell in love and knew people are going to want this.
  4. Future – What’s in it for the future? WhenI joined this company and I quickly realized I could save my commissions for retirement. I’m making money while I’m sleeping. Now I can pay for Ruby’s College. I can pay for Ruby’s wedding. I can have freedom.

A challenge for you this week is to use these four steps to share your story on social media. You all are inspiring and have a story to share!

Most people I speak to want some sort of success in their life. Yet the fear of success is one of those fears that most people won’t face either personally or as an entrepreneur!

Together, you can conquer that fear and design a life of your wildest dreams. I have found a better way and it is possible for you also.

I want to show you how I gave up working 6 days a week and 70+ hours a week behind the chair as a salon owner and created a multi 6 figure a year income from my Smart Phone, all while sending more time with the people and things that mean the most to me in life. Lets do this together.
