Post With Purpose and Post For Profit!

So you have made a few posts on social media for your new business or products and you are stuck!

You say to yourself, “I’m not real sure what I need to do from here. I haven’t had one person comment or show interest.”

Is this you?! Not sure what the heck you are supposed to be doing? Or where to go next. Nothing you have tried is working. Now what?!?!

I see this, hear this and feel this from my clients and business partners on the regular. The ones open minded enough to reach out, or to tell the truth when I touch base are the people and brands who get unstuck and thrive. Because just like YOU, they are hard working and coachable! Those are the people I work with.

SO I am going to give you the tips I give them.

I immediately go to their personal profile and check out what they are up to and what they are saying, posting about and how they represent themselves on social media.

Often times I cannot figure out much about this persons personality or who they are as a human. I can tell you, who they work for or partnered with and what products the sling.

Looking from someone else’s shoes, I wouldn’t follow them, check in on them or buy from them. WHY? Because it’s all a commercial and I don’t want to be sold to. They don’t even seem like a real person.

Looks like an account that is only going to spam facebook and maybe even hack my account.

Post with a purpose - Who are you?

Pick 5 categories that represent you!! If your bio says you are a cat lover, or a taco eater. I want to see pictures of your cat and you eating tacos!

If you work as a nurse, or a teacher, in a factory or whatever it is you do for a full time job, that should be represented. I know some of my friends have jobs, that can’t be public, but that is RARE! Just how I like my steak!

One category should be about your product or service and one should be about the business opportunity if you are a network marketer!

So each day, 1 post a day should fit into the days category. Maybe Monday is Memory monday and you treat it like a throwback thursday. Maybe Tuesday is Taco tuesday, and you share something taco related. Wednesday about your service or product, etc.

Post with a purpose - teach the people something

I also think 1 live a week would be amazing. Teaching something. If you are in a weightloss company, teach 3 ways to curb your appetite.

Or in skin care could be 5 ways to look younger without breaking the bank.

so 1 of the posts for the categories we talked about above for the week could be the announcement of you going LIVE.

Try and go LIVE the same day and time. Make the announcement 12 hours before if possible. Also blow your stories up with pain points and what you are teaching.

No more GET READY WITH ME FB lives. No one wants to get ready with you.
NO MORE, showing off your products. Teach your audience something.

Google skin care tips. Google weight loss tips. Or 5 ways to reduce stress.

Learn something, take some notes and teach it!!

You also need to think about what is your Call To Action on this.

Does your NWM team have an ATM group or a customer testimonial group!?? Have that be your call to action.

If you want more amazing weight loss tips, or if you want to learn more about skin care and beauty tips, say group below and I can invite you to a community you will love. It is invite only….

or if you have more tips, have them message you for more tips on this topic!

SO if you are putting your topics into a blank calendar, add LIVE announcement and LIVE.

post with a purpose - Dont tell everything

Giving too much info! I see this way to much. If you give the name of the product, the price, where to order it and everything it does. Why would anyone ever like, comment or reach out. You gave them everything they needed, not they will go and GOOGLE it.

They dont need you when they have all the info. You have to get people curious. Talk about the pain points they have, that dang turkey neck or lines around their eyes.

Or the muffin top that pops out because the weight in the midsection won’t melt away.

Talk about the perks, of what it is you are using. Not what you are using.
OMG, I am so happy I slept through the night 5 days in a row. That hasn’t happened in years.

Guess what will happen. People will comment, message you and want to know what is you’ve got.

Again if you have a customer group, let them know you will add them to the group so they can learn more.

Tag them in the post that talks about what you are using to sleep through the night.

Always take the conversation from the comments and into messenger!

post with a purpose - stop sharing posts

You share funny jokes, cute outfits, giveaways, lost dogs and stolen bikes. No biggie, but that does not belong on your store front. Any content that you DO NOT create needs hidden from your profile.

Share it so it is in the newsfeed, also what I like to call the break room. And hide it from your profile, because your profile is like your store front to your personal brand!

If it’s a funny joke, poem, something inspiring, use that as your caption and post a picture of you holding your cat and eating your taco!

Use that to help you put out better content and your own content.

post with a purpose - wrap up

How many of you have said or have you thought to yourself….If I had a team of people like me. If there was more of me.

This is how you are going to find more of yous. By creating content, that tells who you are and what you are about.

Be authentic, ditch the DAMN filters, show up and come as you are.
