Make a great First Impression on Social Media….matter

You never know when someone is on your social media account, or who has stopped by.  Nothing like when all of a sudden an unexpected guest shows up to your house and you’re ” Like ahhhhhh! QUICK, Clean!” It’s not as easy to make a great first Impression on Social Media compared to our home.

You’re putting stuff in drawers and putting your pillows straight on your couches, straightening the rug, shuffling things around. I want to use that analogy with your profile page. You clean up because you want to give a great impression. The same thing needs to happen on your social media profile.

Your personal profile represents your brand, whether you do business on your profile or not it represents your brand and its so important to Make a great first impression. When your profile is clean and tidy, people will not only stay on your page longer, but will come back to see what else you have bee up to and are doing. Make a great First impression on social media!

“I didn’t even know, that I didn’t even know that.”

What I see all the time is you’ve shared stuff shared, shared funny memes you’re trying to win a Yeti, you’re sharing boutique stuff, you’re sharing missing children, missing dogs. All these things that have nothing to do with you or your personal brand, it’s totally okay to share those but then you have to click the little top right corner and drop it down and hide that from your timeline. It will still show up in the news feed but it will not be on your timeline.

I challenge you right now go to your personal profile and hide five posts. Hide five posts that have nothing to do with your brand, your business, anything, that doesn’t represent you. Go to your personal profile and hide the garbage, take the garbage out-straighten the pillows. Make sure your cover photos lined up. Take a look at it from someone else’s point of view. I hope these tips HELP you make a great first Impression on Social Media.
